If traveling by plane, the TSA 3-1-1 rule still applies for carry-ons. This means 3.4 oz (100ml) containers, 1 quart sized bag, 1 bag per passenger. Any liquids over 3.4 ounces must be placed in a checked bag.
I have many allergies and some hotel soaps causes reactions. So I always pack my own shower gels, shampoo/conditioners, lotions and face wash. I love this TSA approved travel bottles set.
